The project began while I was walking the Mission, photographing how old ads decayed and transformed. I realized my own family photos—filled with a history of dysfunction—needed that same transformation.
I enlarge these childhood photographs and wheat-paste them across the Mission and SOMA. I still remember the adrenaline of the first night, with my wife acting as my getaway driver. Since then, I have returned to document how weather, grime, tags, and tears change them. As the images fracture, they reflect the destruction within my own family and their new life in the public eye.

In this project, the community becomes my co-author. Personal memories are layered with collective experience until these images no longer belong only to my family—they become shared.
