DEEPTHAWTZ
DEEPTHAWTZ aka Dylan Clendenin was born in West Virginia and raised in California since 1989, this artist's creative path truly ignited during the pandemic in 2020. What began as daily painting and drawing—a means of play and experimentation for mental health—quickly evolved into a strong sense of fulfilling a deeper purpose.
Working from life, memory, and imagination, his practice is a dynamic blend of mediums and genres. For him, drawing and painting are inextricably linked, and his diverse influences are equally drawn from art historical figures, the raw energy of street art, and the vibrant world of cartoons and comics. Sketchbooking and figure drawing remain essential parts of his daily creative routine.
