“This photograph was taken by me inside a subway tunnel in New York City as part of my long-term documentary project, I Love New York, which I directed and will be releasing later this year. The film centers on the graffiti artist MQ, whom I have been documenting for nearly a decade.
As both the photographer and director of this project, my work captures not only MQ’s art but the environments that shape it. The subway tunnel is more than a backdrop — it represents the raw, underground origins of New York graffiti culture. This image reflects the intersection of risk, devotion, and artistic legacy, and is part of a larger body of work exploring identity, authorship, and the deep relationship between artist and city.” - BAZOOKAFILMS77
