For the past 3 decades Broke, aka Broke One, aka Beer Is Good has played an integral role in the Bay Area graffiti community. From pieces to throws, wheat paste, and stickers, it's not hard to find his work on various poles, walls and streets.
Broke's work inspires residents and outsiders to question the discourse of public versus private space, as well as find humor among the day-to-day patterns we all feel confined by.
